What Are The Benefits of Red Light Therapy?
After posting about my use of red light therapy, I’ve had lots of questions about it. I hope to share more and more so that you can decide whether it’s a good idea for you. In the meantime, please keep sending me questions. There is no weird or ridiculous question because I had no clue what red light therapy could do until I was hospitalized to receive a bone marrow transplant for my acute myeloid leukemia.
I had heard the words RLT, but saw no reason to ever consider it. I don’t need it…there would be no benefit to me…that’s only for the health-obsessed. HA!
And now I can’t imagine getting through my “ailments” without it. For me, it has been a game-changer for my neuropathy, hair loss, gut issues, muscle fatigue, and mouth sores. I know, you’re probably thinking, but I have none of these issues Kristin! But these struggles are chemo-induced and if RLT can help with THESE, imagine what it can do with other struggles?
Here are some of the benefits – Do you have any of these struggles?
✔️Skin – acne, eczema, wrinkles, fine lines, aging
✔️Pain – neck, back, feet, and more
✔️Inflammation
✔️Blood Circulation
✔️Muscle and Joint Repair
✔️Hair Growth
✔️Skin Texture – stretch marks
✔️Scarring
✔️Sleep
✔️Wound Healing
✔️And More…
If you research “red light therapy”, you’ll see that major medical facilities use or recommend it, like Mayo and the Cleveland Clinic. Trust me, I was this skeptical, until I did the research. I’ve now heard of local offices using RLT as well, to aid in muscle and joint injury.
So why does a simple red light heal? Basically RLT uses a wavelength to stimulate cells to increase their energy production. Think of it, with any injury, ailment, or wound for example, cells were damaged. RLT helps bring those cells back to good working order. Basically these medical-level LED lights deliver red light wavelengths to the body through NIR (near-infrared light for deep tissue like joints and muscles) and red light for more surface areas like the skin (quality RLT devices offer both). The light stimulates mitochondria, the energy-carrying molecules in cells or also known as the powerhouse of a cell.
Basically, the cells use this extra energy from RLT to repair themselves and heal our bodies while doing so. Plus, it’s a non-invasive treatment where if the right device is used, will not cause any harm to your body.
I’m NOT saying you won’t heal from your wound, ailment, or struggle if you don’t use this. And first and foremost, GOD is our ultimate and Great Physician! Though I do think God gives us the brains to create devices that might be a great alternative to other therapies to help us live well. And I think my mouth sores from high-intensity chemo would’ve lasted MUCH longer if it wasn’t for RLT!

This is a whole other blog post discussion as to why I use the Lumebox versus other brands, but I firmly believe that quality matters. There are many companies that make RLT devices, but like anything, it’s important to know what it is, what’s in it, and what it does. The Lumebox is FDA approved, is a class 2 medical device, has been independently tested, was designed by a doctor, and has all the safety measures in place to ensure you don’t damage your skin or eyes.
As for the Lumebox…
RIGHT NOW YOU CAN GET IT FOR $260 OFF! Which is a savings of over 40%!
You can also learn more about the LUMEBOX by simple clicking HERE.
Again, let me know if you have any questions and I’ll continue to post more about RLT as well!
