This little squirt is soon to be 1, which is crazy, but actually not so crazy. We feel we have enjoyed every minute with her and we are just soaking in every moment we can! Mazy sure is learning so much, so quickly! Now if she wants something, she can eventually scoot on her tush…

  • This Week In Pictures

It may seem like I am always posting pictures of our Mazers, but it is hard not to. Not living by family, it is hard to describe in words how she is growing, so I decided that pictures are a better description of what Mazy is up to on a daily basis. Mazy Grace is…

Next week Mazy will be 11 months old! Wowzas! Love this girl more and more each day! It has been quite cold this week, so that means no walks for us, which has been a bit disappointing, but it is February in Minnesota! Hopefully we will be able to get outside again soon – otherwise…

Not even sure how to begin this so I’m just going to start… Brenda’s numbers were signficantly lower today, which means she is no longer pregnant. They were in the 600 range when yesterday’s test was at 1396. We believe the babies left her body on Monday. It is with such sadness, grief, pain, and…

  • Life As Of Late…

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve done a “life” update, so I thought I would share what we have been up to! I started off the new year with a bang by starting to work at school again and also helped coach our school’s 8th grade basketball team. I had reached ONE YEAR post…

  1. adoption is a difficult subject to approach; for some its amazing and they want that 100% for others they have to take their time getting used to the idea. We actually considered adoption vs having our own due to my genetic disorder (i.e. kids may inherit it). However, for us, personally, its difficult to give up the idea of having our own biological children. Its difficult to get over the idea that sits in the back of your mind, "will they be ours?" "what if they look 100% different from us" "what if they act 100% different from us." I agree that adoption is a great/good thing, however, if anyone is considering it they have to be convinced in themselves that its the path God would have for them. We have never tried for children ourselves and just aren't 100% sure which path would be better. I pray that God would guide you two in your decisions surrounding this area of life. (Side note: I do not think there is anything morally wrong about having a gestational carrier. Even in biblical times they did this only they didn’t have all the fancy technology or methods we use and have today).

  2. Thank you for sharing your thoughts Jenny! So well put! I think you pose the questions that so many wonder about when adopting. It is a very difficult decision and like you said, they need to be convinced by God, that it is right. What a blessing it is have Him as our guide in life, isn't it? Thanks again for sharing your thoughts and heart!
