One of my most favorite businesses to partner with is Personal Planner. They are actually based out of Sweden, but I look forward to participating with international company each time. My own planner was about to run out, so I was eager to design this coming year’s planner! I’ve been designing one from fall to…
Dollar stores can have a stigma of having cheap, not-worth-it items. Some may never even step foot into one because it’s not “worth their money.” Well, I remember when we first were married, we had adopted a soldier overseas. We had contacted him and asked him what he would like in a care package. Many…
How many magazines do you have lying around your home? Too many too count? Do you even wonder where they all are or even why you have a subscription to a certain magazine? BEEN THERE! I would hear of those $2.00 deals on a magazine subscription and think “how could I ever pass that up?”…
What: Getting Your Money Back Why: Living with less is a process and daily, we are reminded of ways we can live with less. Even in the areas we least think about. Have you ever thought about those special offers that companies have, where you only have to pay just a few bucks for it?…
Acts 17:26-27 says, “And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Great post. I have an iPad which I love. It replaced my laptop when it died. I work at home & my job provides the work PC. I have a cell phone but don't have a smartphone. I'm tethered to my computer all day so I like being away from it when I'm out & about.
I like this! Being able to step away IS a beautiful thing!
I love having a smartphone and it would be hard to live without once you get used to it but it is a convenience not a necessity. I moved up from a tracfone a year ago but still don't have a regular data plan. I mostly rely on wifi. So much is spent on expensive plans and high end phones.
The biggest negative I see is the distraction they are when with other people. Way too easy to keep checking phones or messing with them instead of spending time together.
That is exactly how I feel – once you get one, it would be hard to go back :). I agree too, that they can be a distraction – but I realize that even with my tracfone, I can easily pick it up and text someone, when with other people. It's a reality check and it's always something to think about! Thanks for sharing!
