I have heard it said that you should view your home as a container. If it’s full, stop trying to pack more into it. If there are things you don’t want in it, take them out. Have you ever felt that way? Do you feel like your home is bursting out the cover of the…

  • Growing Season

What a sight it has been to see the farmers in the fields! I feel right at home! There is something about watching farmers work from sun-up to sun-down, going back and forth in the fields, with the sun beaming behind them, dust flying in the wind, and Kristin gawking at the beauty.      …

  • A Good God

I am writing this post on election day, not knowing what the results will be, though decided to post it today. I write this on election day because one thing I know is certain. Is that from day to day, God’s rule and sovereignty do not change. I think it is an incredible privilege to…

A selfless love. That is the only way that I can describe what Brenda is offering to do for us. I have the hardest time putting into words what Brenda is willing to do – the feeling that it gives us. It is unexplainable. Have you ever tried to explain an experience in your life,…

  • Own You

I’m sure you’ve heard of the saying “own it”. Basically it means to be okay with who you are. Quirks and all! And that is something I think we often struggle with. Yet during this quarantine time, I’m sure you’ve had your life thrown before your very eyes, that has made you take a step…

  1. Kristin ,
This is Sheila, your Aunt Linda’s friend in Texas. I read your blog routinely but have never commented until now. I just want to let
you know what a witness you are to me. I love the Lord and follow him, but I am so uplifted by your words and how you continue to handle your struggle with so much. I have shared your book with friends and you have no concept of the lives you touch!

May God continue to bless you, We are praying for you!
Have a Merry Christmas with you wonderful family 👪 ❤

    1. Hi Sheila! It’s good to hear from you! Thank you for your message, I so appreciate your words of encouragement. My prayer is always that God would use this journey to encourage just one person, even if I don’t know who it is and that’s with the book too. I just pray God would use it to encourage people in their faith and that He’d use it how He sees fit. I know God has given us each a journey to embark on and what those journeys look like, are all different. But I know we can ALL use them for His glory, no matter what they look like! He’s got a unique story for each person and mine just so happens to include heart issues and cancer. But for others, it’s other struggles! But they can all be used for His glory. Thank you for praying for us because truly, they mean so much to me when I don’t always have the words or know what to pray for. It means a lot. Blessings to you, Sheila, and I hope you have a WONDERFUL Christmas!
