Around The Home

Last year, we were not sure we were going to buy a costume for Mazy because we did not plan on trick or treating. Then we decided that really, that was something we looked SO forward to in having a child – dressing them up for Halloween. We found an adorable bear costume that was…
Back in Michigan, we lived directly across from an ice skating rink. We knew we HAD to buy ice skates – kind of a rite of passage. Even though we only went about once a year (sad, I know…), we were always thankful we at least owned skates. Then we move to Minnesota – what I…
I had all these grand ideas of how I was going to be the perfect stay-at-home-mom. As much as didn’t/don’t want to admit it, we go into parenthood with expectations. I made the mistake of telling Dan that I didn’t really have any expectations, but the more I thought about it, I so did! I…
As the weeks move on by, we are realizing quickly that our time in Minnesota is coming to an end and our new life in Michigan will be beginning. Both book ends, in the opposite way. The closing of one chapter, but the opening of another. I feel I have my emotions back under control,…
I realized that either I didn’t have much going on this week or I was too busy to take pictures…well I say this past week was an even mix. So, not much to update in pictures, but it sure was a fun week! For New Year’s Eve we went to our friend’s house and had…

1. Mazy has THE CUTEST clothes! She always looks darling – especially in the bathtub!
2. You need a dog.
3. How wonderful you've grown your own personal reminder for keys and sunglasses!
4. You are a really good mom, and it's wonderful to see how much you enjoy Mazy. (Even if you don't sucker for a dog)
LOL I loved your comment! Thank you so much!
1. Most of her clothes are actually second-hand clothes – best way to dress a child who stains them consistently :).
2. We decided she needs to sleep through the night before we would ever consider getting one! Thankfully all of our friends have them, so she can get her fix!
3. She seriously is so great at that – love my little "planner"!
4. Thank you for the encouragement! That honestly means so much – in those tough days, it's hard, but God sure gives us a lot of grace and reminders that we can only do the best we can! Thank you again :). Your comment meant so much!
