Around the Home
How are you all doing? Dan and I have often said that even though this is such a crazy time, we also couldn’t be more thankful for it. We sure have spent a lot of time together, but it’s been wonderful. We’ve been able to do things we normally wouldn’t do, like finish concrete around our house, spend THIS much time together, and not drive each other crazy! Are we looking forward to being “released” someday? Absolutely. But until then, this is what we’ve been up to:
On Sundays, we do a Zoom “meeting” with our high school youth group, which is always a good time! We thought of the genius idea to do worship via Zoom, but it went terribly wrong when we realized there was a lag in what Dan was playing and what we were singing. It was bad enough we needed to plug our ears because we were all so off, but lesson learned! We will save worship time for in-person youth group :). P.S. Mazy enjoys these Zoom meetings just as much as we do!
Our sweet pup, Maggie, who is 6 months old!
This girl never gets sick of taking baths!
We have spent hours and hours working on the concrete around our pool, but I have to say, it has been completely worth it!
Snow during spring? Only in Michigan!
I decided to mask up and head out this week. I had an appointment with a kidney doctor to discuss some on-going issues I’ve been having with my kidneys, but it also meant my first “outing” into the public sphere, on my own, all masked up! I’ll admit, it felt amazing to get out, even if it was for an appointment.
And more snow, which meant snow angels on the deck! Maggie even tried her hand at them, but no luck.
We had our first tulip bloom and in turn, Mazy thought it was time to put her Dutch costume on. It’s a little big, but she’ll eventually grow into it:
All this time at home has really made me pull out the ole winter craft and DIY ideas! This time it was slime:
The days are not always easy, especially when it’s cold and rainy outside, but we know this too, will pass, as does everything in life. This will be a but a moment someday! Until then, we will try and make the most of it since we know God has a purpose in this time too.
