Beyond A Baby Shower
Baby showers are such joyous occasions! Whether it be in planning them, attending them, or being the very person the shower is for, baby showers are unique ways to bless everyone involved. Especially the mama-to-be. Plus, I personally think they are enjoyable to plan.
One of the trickiest parts of a shower is deciding who to invite. Often when you invite one person, well that means you should invite the whole “group” that person is from, leaving you with a large list of people to invite. Maybe even too many. But in reality, you probably could invite about 50 MORE people, but realize you just can’t out of respect for the person who is hosting the shower.
That leaves you wishing you could invite everyone who has been involved in your life, involved in the pregnancy, and those who will be involved in your little child’s life. But where do you draw the line?
Well, I have a unique baby shower idea that will solve all of those issues. Host a “Build A Library For Baby” Usborne Books Facebook Party! Usborne books are unique, engaging, entertaining, and educational books that any child will love. Anyways, why should you have an Usborne Facebook party?
Here’s why:
1. No limit on the number of people you can invite.
2. This goes beyond the in-home showers that relatives and friends will offer to do for you.
3. You can invite those people you know you won’t be able to invite to the in-home parties, but you still want them to be involved in a shower.
4. People want to bless new moms in unique ways, but do not always know how or what to give. A library of books is a gift that keeps giving for years to come.
5. Inexpensive. Usborne Books are VERY reasonable in price and are high-quality.
6. Saves time – it only requires 1 hour of your guest’s time

9. Books do not have to be gender specific. Baby showers are often held after the gender is known or close to the baby’s birth date. A facebook party can be held WHENEVER, gender not needed to be known.
9. It’s a simple way to bless a friend. Maybe you have a friend who has not had the easiest road, who is going through an adoption, or you just want to show that friend or sister how much they are loved – this idea will solve them all!
So here are two options:
- If YOU are pregnant and want to HOST a “Build A Library for Baby” party, all you have to do is invite your friends! You will receive all of the hostess rewards and your friends can choose to buy from a wishlist you created or buy books for themselves, where each sale increases the number of free books you get!
- If you have a FRIEND who is pregnant and you want to host a party FOR her, all you have to do is get a list a names from your friend and invite them to the “Build A Library for Baby” party! I will take care of creating messages you can send out, helping your friend create a wishlist of books, and running the party. Again, all you have to do is just invite your friends’ friends. Easy enough, right?
