  1. Ideas for little changes that you can make that will make your life less complicated. For example, making a grocery list – you only buy what's on the list, saving yourself money and your waistline because you're not buying stuff you don't really need (candy bar, processed food on sale, etc.)

    1. You are so right! I like your thought of saving your waistline – there is a reason why they have candy bars staring us in the face at the checkout line! Like you said, stuff we don't really need!

    1. Great idea Randi! I am ALL about inexpensive! Many of the recipes I have shared I would say are pretty budget-savvy. I would check them out if you get a chance!

  2. Hoping how to figure out the best way to organize my small house for my 3 children and hubby and I…..w/o going broke.

    1. I think that is the key, Maria – without going broke! Since starting to really declutter, I have bought next to nothing when it comes to organizing because as I declutter and purge, it creates more space and more options of where to put items. As you start/continue organizing, keep an open mind on where you might be able to switch some things around and put items where you may not have thought of before. Thanks for sharing Maria!

  3. I have been doing this with a wipe-off board. I then take a picture with my phone so I don't have to write it down again. And if I forget to take my pic, I have one of my kids text it to me. I am very forgetful and the running list has saved me a lot of time and frustration.

  4. Tara – I LOVE this idea! I never thought of that before – how easy! Plus, then you are not going through all that paper! What a clever idea and thank you so much for sharing this!

  5. Awhile back I set up a spreadsheet with the items we purchase frequently (food, cleaning supplies, toiletries) and arranged the list in the order of the aisles at the grocery store. I print out a few copies at a time and keep them on the frig. When I run out of something I just circle the item. When I plan my meals I look at my recipes and see what I need at the store and circle those items. Sometimes I think of things we need when I am not in the kitchen. Having toilet paper and cleaning supplies on the list jogs my memory when I see them. The initial setup takes a little bit longer but has been a lifesaver for me. As our tastes change (and kids get older) it is easy to change out foods you no longer buy for new ones.

    1. Debbie – I LOVE this idea! This is great! I have seen printables of really LONG lists of staples, but it sounds like you have YOUR family's staples listed, which I really like. I can see where seeing the words on the sheet to help you jog your memory. How helpful! Thank you for sharing this idea Debbie!
