Ribbon is something that can be used for many DIY projects, but unfortunately it is the crafting item that can cause the most frustration. My spools would get all tangled and even knotted. Plus, some would fall to the bottom of my bin and therefore I didn’t even know what I had! What is the point of having something if I can’t even remember or see it?
Well, I am teaming up with Wayfair to bring you some different DIY ideas you may not have thought of before! I used to have a fancy ribbon holder, like the ones you buy from a craft store, but I had more ribbon than it would hold. I had found a bin in our home that had holes in the side of it, and decided to convert it into a ribbon storage system. A simple DIY, why didn’t I think of this sooner idea? Since then, it has solved all of my ribbon tangling issues, plus I can now see exactly what I have!
Here’s how you can create your own:
4 Easy Steps To A No-Mess Ribbon Storage System:
1. Roll up all of your spools of ribbon so that they are neatly organized.
2. Find a
bin or storage container (set of 6) with holes in the sides of it, and a bag to store the loose pieces of ribbon.
3. Pull the ribbon through each hole so that all I have to do is pull out what is needed, while keeping the spools organized.
4. Store all of your loose ribbon in a ziplock bag.
Pretty easy, eh? Now you can see all of the ribbon you have and can just pull what you need, instead of taking the whole spool out!
What a great idea!! I love how it could keep it all organized. This would be perfect for Christmas-time, when I have a mess of ribbon all over the room.
Brilliant idea! I have way too much ribbon. I'm happy to be able to get it organized now.
Such a great idea! I really need to do this. MY ribbons are such a mess!
