Mazy turned 4 MONTHS OLD on Friday! What a sweetheart this girl is. She never ceases to make us laugh and cause us to kiss her chubby little cheeks. These pictures explain why:       Stats: Mazy is 25 1/2 inches tall (97th percentile), is 15 lbs. 1 oz. (70th percentile) and is in the…

  • Just Keep It Real, Please

Real. Real homes. Real people. Real kids. Real moments. Real everything. You with me? So I love Instagram. Maybe it’s kinda weird, but I find that there are some pretty “real” people on the Insta. Can I just thank you, from the bottom of my heart? Our souls long for people like you. I’m not…

  • Around The Home

What an exciting past week we’ve had, visiting Minnesota! We left last Tuesday around 11am and made it to Minnesota in good time, and arrived by 8:30pm their time! That left just enough room for Dan to go to the fireworks, while Mazy and I stayed back so that she could go to bed at…

  • Around The Home

Welcome Spring! Warm weather has arrived in Minnesota yet again, and we could not be more thrilled! Minutes after getting out of bed, Mazy asks to go to the sanbock (sandbox) to play. She cannot get enough of the outdoors, which makes me wonder how in the world we get through the winter months in…

  • Life On The Farm

There is something about growing up around a farm. The peaceful mornings, the rides in the tractor, and even yes, the smell of manure. Dan laughs, but it smells like home to me. The life lessons I have learned growing up around a farm have been priceless. If you have, I am sure you know…

  1. Kristin, you have made this opportunity for giving grace to others. North Street church is a grand place for you. I love your honesty. People will seek you out and God is using you in a wonderful way. I am so fortunate to have been in a small way a part of your journey.

    1. Mrs. Knott, thank you so much for your sweet message! My prayer is that God would use this all to bring MORE glory to Him and that He will use this story to draw others closer to God. And oh my goodness, Mrs. Knott, I always will remember your smile. I seriously have memories etched into my mind of your smile and your JOY in life. THAT is inspiring, to this day. A smile is so simple, but speaks Christ’s love without having to save a word. We just pray that each step, is a step closer to us doing His will and living out the purpose He has for us! Please keep in touch and thank you so much for your message 🙂

  2. Wow, I feel like if I substituted “heart issues” for “PCOS and chronic pain” I have said or could say these exact same things. Dealing with ongoing pain, missed and misunderstood diagnosis, and infertility are hard on a marriage, particularly on me as I’ve wrestled with God through these things and sometimes didn’t act the way I should. But my husband is patient with me, and I try to be patient with him because we are determined to stick it out no matter what. Sometimes, loving each other is easy, but often it can be very hard. But it’s in those times as you said that God shows His amazing grace and strength through us, and it’s been so sweet to see that. Thank you for your words; you have encouraged me that we’re not alone in these struggles through our marriage as we navigate the weird, wacky, wonderful life God has given us.

    1. Thank you for your comment, Sarah! We truly are not alone and the more we walk this journey called life, the more I have realized we are here to walk it together. With each other. To share our joys, triumphs, and trials!
