In this “You May Not Have Thought Of Series…” these ideas may be completely new to you or they may be oldies, but serve as good reminders. Some ideas that I have thought of well, I am not sure why I didn’t think of them earlier.
We have been busy updating our home with paint. I am a firm believer in what a coat of paint can do. Paint can transform a rundown, scraped and stained wall, into something fresh and beautiful. Paint is a relatively cheap way to spruce up a room, without having to be a lot of muscle into it. In a few hours, you can have a new room!
The one kicker about painting is that it is messy. You can lay all of the drop cloths down and try to be as careful as you can, but when it comes down to pouring paint into your tray and cleaning up, it is required to not wear your Sunday best, to say the least.
You can buy plastic tray inserts, to aid in the cleaning up process, but I have discovered an even cheaper way to clean up your paint tray!
Before you pour the paint into the tray, line the tray with aluminum foil. You can buy wider rolls of aluminum foil, so that it can completely cover your tray (depending on what size your tray is). This way, when you are finished, all you have to do is take off the aluminum foil and throw it away. Bam. Your paint tray cleanup is DONE! Make sure that the corners are pushed in and the edges are tightly pressed around the paint tray.
Who would have thought, right?
Well, DUH! I paint everything that doesn't move, and I should have thought about this a long time ago. Thanks, smart lady!
LOL thanks Mary! I loved reading about how much you love to paint. I sit in the same boat 🙂
