  • BMT Day -6

I wore this t-shirt specifically for today, knowing that this is the truth we stand in today! We can look back and thank God for what he has already done in our lives and we can look forward and trust that he will continue to provide for us in the future too. Finished my first…

  • Do You Ever Dream?

I sometimes find myself dreaming. Dreaming about our past, our todays, and our tomorrows. Yes, I even dream about our past. I have been busy writing our story into a book and of course in doing so, it brings back all of the memories, the joys, and even the grief. I sometimes dream about what…

  • The Fury Of Clutter

I (heart) organizing. Is my house a picture of organization? Um, no. But one thing that I do value is ridding my life of clutter. I used to have this organizing blog called “Organizing Life With Less.” It was great! Talk about helping me pare down to what I would call the more “minimal” way…

  • Leukemia Update

This week was a big week appointment-wise. I met with both my local and U of M oncologists, to talk about life after chemo and what the next steps are. As my U of M oncologist said, “It is still a best-case-scenario.” We were given much comfort and reassurance this week after a very long…

  1. I have battled Rheumatoid Arthritis for 23 years and have been on a path to do everything in my power to lessen inflammation. I’ve gone down a lot of paths, some would think extreme…but I am so tired of living in chronic pain. Healthy, organic eating is now our lifestyle. Supplements? Done that. Sauna? Bought a portable one. Naturopath doctors? Been there. DMSO and antibiotic protocol? Doing that now. Fingers crossed that one day this terrible disease will go into remission. I’m so very proud of you for doing what is “better” and look forward to the rest of your story.

    1. I’m sure it is hard for others to understand that frustration you walk with everyday because it isn’t their story. But I think trying all different options is sometimes the best you can do, to try and find something that works for you! I hope that one day you are able to find SOMETHING so that you can feel like you are able to live your life to the fullest! Keep in touch, Regina!

  2. Awesome!! I pray more people will think about what you wrote! It’s a challenge everyday! Married to a farmer (stubborn Dutchman) who lives the foods he was brought up on, & cheap, makes it more of a challenge! Thanks for sharing! Please, do keep doing so! To your health! – Tami Weaver Folkert

    1. That is so hard because we grew up so different, and yet back in the day, our food wasn’t what it is now. When you make ingredient comparisons, it’s quite incredible to see all that has been added since we were kids! So sad to see. But I always tell people, do the best you can and hopefully those small changes make a difference for your future. You are doing an excellent job to even think about desiring to make changes, and that is always the first step! Keep it up, Tami!
