NEW MOVIE: Unsung Hero

If you love the band FOR KING + COUNTRY, you have to see their new film! I had the chance to preview it and it brought me to tears several times. I think often we can see the success of celebrities or bands, and think wow, they’ve got it good. But we fail to realize what God has led them through, to bring them to the point they are at now. This movie brings to light the difficulties that the Smallbone family went through, to get to where they are today. Here’s a bit about the Unsung Hero:

When David Smallbone’s successful music company collapses, he moves his family from Australia to the United States in search of a brighter future. With nothing more than their six children, their suitcases, and their love of music, David (for KING + COUNTRY’s Joel Smallbone) and his pregnant wife Helen (Daisy Betts) set out to rebuild their lives from the ground up. Based on a remarkable true story, a mom’s faith stands against all odds; and inspires her husband and children to hold onto theirs.

This movie comes out a few weeks before MOTHER’S DAY, on April 26th! Unsung Hero celebrates the priceless role that moms play in the family. Just a fun Mother’s Day idea if you are looking to bless the moms in your life in a special way! It is definitely a movie worth watching and will encourage your own faith journey, as you see God working in big and small ways, to carry out the purpose He has for YOUR life.
